Netflix on Virgin Media

So there are a lot of reports today on cnet.co.uk and slaswear.com for Virgin Media offering Netflix to 40,000 customers this week ahead of a bigger launch this year, now a couple of problems I find with this, the service will be available to 40,000 TiVo customers, thats fine, however it will cost you an extra £6 a month which when you think about it, isn’t too much the problem lies with they business sense behind it, Virgin Media now owned by US company Liberty Global already offers movie packages for about £10 a month I think they charge for it, Netflix is cheaper and unless they have some deal behind the scenes to receive money from subscriptions or to offer it as part of a package they actually stand to lose money as for £6 a month you can stream more films and tv
