Calling All Astronauts

I found these guys on Twitter when they followed me and thought I’d check them out only just got the chance to so here we go:

Now CAA describe themselves/himself (manned by singer David) as punk rock band with drum machine and synths, so I was intrigued as to what it would sound like. Now I listed to the track ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’ and was instantly reminded of bands such as Type O Negative and Theatre Of Tragedy. Yes I know that both bands have been accredited with gothic and industrial type music and not punk rock. I am in no way slagging these guys off cause to be honest I love the song and I love the style being a fan of TON (Type O Negative) and TOT (Theatre Of Tragedy) I wouldn’t really describe them as punk. While writing this review I have also checked out their new song ‘Red Flag.’ Maybe it’s because my idea of punk is acts like Sex Pistols, but I’d have to CAA sound more inclined to industrial then punk. Anyway this is a great effort and I recommend that you check it out as soon as you get the chance, they have an album out now on iTunes (see link below) and a new EP coming out 4 November. These are sure to be one of the rising stars in the music scene right now, I predict that if they haven’t already these guys will hit big, and with the ever changing style of music, it’s great to see a band taking on an alternative genre with the passion they have
